An extension to the ScanStoreRx system is Pharmacy Request. This system was developed as part of the initial trial of PBS charts in private and public hospitals.
Utilising an Android tablet the image of the chart is captured at ward level and transferred electronically to the pharmacy. Here it enters a workflow for processing and recording in the dispensary. The trial image is stored alongside ScanStoreRx files for full PBS claim integration.
The Pharmacy Request system can operate separately to the ScanStoreRx system.
The Pharmacy Request System has been implemented in private, and public hospitals. Both onsite and offsite pharmacies have successfully implemented the system.
