Pharmacy Request provides a mobile request platform and workflow for the Pharmacy DMS (Document Management System). This system was developed as part of the initial trial of PBS charts in private and public hospitals.
Utilising a supported mobile device (Android or iOS), the image of the medication chart (or order) is captured at ward level and transferred electronically to the pharmacy. Here it enters a workflow for processing and recording in the dispensary. The chart image is stored within Pharmacy DMS alongside other scanned prescription images for full PBS claim integration.
The Pharmacy Request System has been implemented in private, and public hospitals. Both onsite and offsite pharmacies have successfully implemented the system.
Key benefits of the system:
- It improves efficiency both for the pharmacy and for the ward staff. Given how busy staff are within the healthcare industry, additional efficiency is important to reduce potential errors.
- The system is paper-free! Not only great for the environment, also saves on photo copies and storage costs.
- The system has been designed with hospital-level security in mind. Documents can be stored within hospital/pharmacy infrastructure, and mobile app communication is direct and encrypted.

Information Collection and Use
For registration purposes, users will be required to log in using either Apple Sign-In or their Google Account. Only simple profile information and email address is sent to the provider. This information will not be provided to any other third parties.
Communications
Apart from possible email contact during the registration process, users should only receive communication regarding important app changes
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Provider servers are not maintained or controlled by Zepli. Please contact providers directly for detailed information on data storage.
Sensitive App Permissions
This app requires permission to use the camera on the user’s device. This is used for scanning a provider QR code during the initial setup of the app and for transmitting images (eg. medication chart) to the provider server. Images are sent directly to the provider server over a secure link.
Account Removal
If you would like to have your user account details removed for Pharmacy Request, either contact your provider directly, or contact Zepli via the contact form.
Please include the following details :
- Your account email address (Google or Apple sign-on email address)
- The name of the provider that you connect to.
Providers independently host servers for Pharmacy Request and operate under varying health regulations for storage of data. Upon request for account removal, the provider will be notified to commence account termination. Any data required to be stored under health or other regulation may not be removed immediately.
